Spirit Guides

One of my meditations is about getting in touch or connect to my spirit guide. We all have it, you know?! Thus why not use it directly. After all, all of us are “somewhat” lost in this life – to one degree to another.

Since I’m doing this meditation I’ve manage to convert my intuition signs from fear to “not feel like it”, in other words, my intuition use to express (one of its expressions) like a fear of going out when I have to go somewhere, but that situation is not “for me” or “it will be waste of time- so no need to go” or something in that manner. I’ve noticed how my fear is protecting me and giving me guidance,, but in most cases cause of my agoraphobia, in order to go anywhere I would have to make arrangement with someone to go with me (to take me), thus I didn’t have enough courage and felt embarrassed i to tell the person, “sorry to waist your time and sorry that you had to organize your day to meet my needs and help me, but we are not going course my intuition tells me “its a waist of time, nothing will be accomplished”. I usually went out of home only if I had to do some chore like going to bank, court, doctor. I was also afraid that I may wrong interpret is it my intuition or my ego is giving me fear so that I give up, back up. Thus, I use to take pill and go, but in most of those situations, when I would feel like this, it turned out that nothing was accomplished where ever I intended to go and went – clerk was not there, doctor had emergency, some relevant person didn’t show up, ect. Yeap, sometime my ego tricked me, all went well and I felt good while being out.

But those were rare occasion if I had this feeling of fear at least couple of hours before going – usually it would start night before going – some unexplained feeling of fear of going out tomorrow. No rationalization would help for long, fear would come back again in few min.  And exactly the fact that fear would come back in few minutes even though I’ve made, in my mind, all possible solutions for all possible problems that may occur tomorrow on my “journey to outside world”, and tomorrow’s outcome – made me connect that feeling of fear with my intuition in positive way. I’ll talk about intuition in general and my problems with it, some other time.

Any way, GOOD NEWS, no fear anymore in these situations. Instead, feeling of “boredom”, or of “not feel like going there”, or of “it’s not such an urge to do that today”. And I can tell you, it feels wonderful and inexplicable when you finally achieve one goal you had for a long long time – to feel free, to feel freedom in your  mind that you can go where ever you want if you want – goal was not to go everywhere, just to have a feeling “I can go if i want to”.

I’m not there yet but this is one step – thank you guides!

 What is spirit guide?

According to WIKIPEDIA:

Spirit guide” is a term used by the Western tradition of Spiritualist Churches, mediums, and psychics to describe an entity that remains a dis-incarnate spirit in order to act as a guide or protector to a living incarnated human being.

Traditionally, within the spiritualist churches, spirit guides were often stereotyped ethnically, with Native Americans, Chinese or Egyptians being popular for their perceived ancient wisdom. Other popular types of guides were saints or other enlightened individuals. Nevertheless, the term can also refer to totems, angels, guardian angels or nature spirits.

According to theosophical doctrine, spirit guides are not always of human descent. Some spirit guides live as energy, in the cosmic realm, or as light beings, which are very high level spirit guides. Some spirit guides are persons who have lived many former lifetimes, paid their karmic debts, and advanced beyond a need to reincarnate. Many devotees believe that spirit guides are chosen on “the other side” by human beings who are about to incarnate and wish assistance.

Some early modern Spiritualists did not favor the idea of spirit guides. Spiritualist author and medium E.W. Wallis, writing in A Guide to Mediumship and Psychic Unfoldment, expressed an opinion that the notion of spirit guides is disempowering and disrespectful to both spirits and living people. He does not deny that seeking people may be helped by spirits here and there, but decries the idea that said spirits are appointed or assigned to do nothing but help the living. He advises would-be mediums to steer clear of the notion that they are being “guided” unless they have demonstrable proof that such is the case.

Many well-known psychics have publicly described their guides. Helena Blavatsky talked about being advised by “Mahatmas”, discarnate personages from India and especially Tibet, who dressed and behaved according to the dictates of their respective cultures. Alice Bailey also described having contact with a spirit teacher whom she called “The Tibetan”. Sylvia Browne identified hers as “Francine”. Theresa Caputo, The Long Island Medium, simply calls her guide “Spirit” and has described it as a “high level spirit” who has never incarnated. In addition, she had said that others have spirit guides as well.

American Spiritualists of the 19th and 20th centuries often described their guides as resembling Native Americans. One popular spirit guide of this type, encountered by many Anglo-American Spiritualists, was named White Hawk. Among African-American Spiritualists, especially those in churches that were founded by or influenced by Mother Leafy Anderson, the Native American guide was named Black Hawk, and was presumed to be the spirit of the Sac tribe warrior of the same name.

*on other pages Ill put guides that helped me – other people guides; when I look back, since the moment I’ve got into this agoraphobic state, first and most books that came to me were by people who were channeling their guides.

Muahaaa and shine like the star that you are!
